Come discover the market garden of Pauline and Chris during their Open Day at Tuinderij het Lichtveen. Have a chat with them about small-scale gardening, the no-dig method and agroecology. Explore the market garden and check what is growing and blooming. There will be a small market for your groceries and you can get tasty snacks and drinks. Guided tours at 11h and 14h.
Not tilling the soil at all in horticulture, how logical is that? By working the soil as little as possible, Pauline and Chris ensure a healthy soil life, which ensures healthy crops. Their agroecological farm is regenerative. They work together with nature and have a strong vision for a more local and sustainable food system. For their first year, they grew vegetables and herbs on the rented land opposite the farm de Hooilanden, for the Wageningen market and local shops and restaurants.
