Local groceries delivered socially and sustainably at home

Do you order the StreekWaar products via the website? Now you can choose to have your groceries delivered at home. And the great thing is: this is done by newcomers in Wageningen, who get Dutch classes in return.

Home delivery is an addition to the existing system of StreekWaar where sustainable local products from Wageningen and the surroundings can be ordered online. Until now, these products were collected by consumers at fixed locations. Now it is also an option to have it delivered.

This is an initiative by Thuis Wageningen. Coordinator Elsje van de Weg: “In this way we ensure that sustainable and local now also becomes social. The deliverers who cycle around on an electric cargo bike are new to Wageningen and in exchange for their hard work they are offered a Dutch language course. So if you know any words of Dutch, do have a chat with them when they are at your door!”
